Small Groups Throughout the Week

Genesis United Methodist Church

Wednesdays at Genesis

Every Wednesday during the school year, we offer an assortment of great learning opportunities. During the year, we offer a variety of courses such as Spiritual Writing, Animate Faith, Get-Well Card Ministry, TED Talks, and the Andy Griffith Bible Study. Groups meet on Wednesdays at     6:30-7:30 PM in the Education Building. Join us for a meal at 5:30 as well!

Genesis Bookies

We're a monthly book discussion group for women that meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 10 to 11:30 AM in room 101 of the Education Building. Selections are made by the group several months in advance.

Genesis Prayer Ministry

Genesis prayer ministry supports prayer within the Genesis community as a way of living in awareness of God's Presence. On most Sunday evenings from 5 to 6 PM, the Prayer Team meets in the Prayer Room to worship and pray. This group is ongoing and open to anyone. If you have a prayer request, simply call the church or fill out the prayer request slip in your bulletin during our services.

Bible and Brew  for Young Adults

Bible and Brew is a young adult small group aged 18 to 25 that meets every Thursday night at Chimera Brewing Company on Magnolia St. in Historic Southside Fort Worth. Every week we discuss a different current event and how the lessons from that event can be compared to scripture. If you're a college aged young adult and you're interest in learning more, contact Spencer or Allie Baker.

United Methodist Women

United Methodist Women at Genesis is a community of women whose purpose is to know God, and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation through the global ministries of the church. At Genesis, two circles meet on a monthly basis for programs on topics of leadership development, social action, spiritual growth and mission. Joyful Agape Circle meets on the third Tuesday at 10am in the Dining Room. The Wesleyan Circle meets at 6:30 pm in the Commons Library on the same day. Membership is extended to any woman who commits herself to our purpose and chooses to participate in meetings, prayer, study and service. Church membership is not requires.
